- Q: Is there an endowment or entry fee?

A: No. Though you will be asked to enter into a lease agreement with Coburg Village.
- Q. Are dining facilities available?

A: Yes. Coburg Village has three venues: Cafe/Bistro, Buffet dining room, and a restaurant-style dining room with a splendid view of our attractive grounds. Residents select from a varied menu. The cost of one meal is included in your occupancy fee.
- Q: Is there a selection of apartment plans?

A: Yes, we offer a variety of floor plans and a selection of price ranges. These allow you to choose an apartment that is ideally suited to your budget.
- Q: Just what can I expect to pay per month to live at Coburg Village?

A: You pay your monthly rent. You also cover the cost for breakfast and lunch, as well as a nominal monthly fee for your telephone and cable television services.
Included in your monthly fee are:
- housecleaning
- maintenance
- water
- trash
- sewer
- electric
- gas
- scheduled transportation
- programs and activities
- security 24 hours a day
- a caring staff
- one meal per day
- Q: Is a deposit required?

A: A security deposit equal to one month’s occupancy fees is required at the time you sign your lease agreement.
- Q: Are food services available?

A: Yes, one meal is served seven days a week. Your meal is selected from a menu – restaurant style. Guests are always welcome; there is a nominal charge for breakfast and lunch in our CafĂ©.
- Q: Is there house cleaning?

A: Apartments are cleaned bi-weekly by our carefully chosen staff. Bed linens (sheets and pillowcases) and towels will be provided and laundered weekly, unless you prefer to do your own.
- Q: Is maintenance available?

A: Yes, and it’s included in your monthly fee. Our staff maintains the plumbing, air conditioning, grounds care, and carries out other general maintenance chores.
- Q: Is Coburg Village safe and secure?

A: Absolutely. We have a security program that runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Q: What other services do you offer?

A: We offer many more services. Our Resident Services Staff coordinates programs, socials, and excursions. We offer scheduled transportation, and maintain a 14-passenger bus, a 9-passenger bus, and a 7-passenger van for regular excursions (7 days a week) to shopping areas, banks, medical offices, churches, and entertainment.
- Q: Will my apartment feel like "home?

A: We do everything possible to assure that Coburg Village not just feels like "home," but is "home" to our residents.
Each apartment includes:
- A kitchen with easy-to-reach cabinets, stainless steel sink, refrigerator/freezer, electric stove, and washer/dryer.
- Fully enclosed, heated and air conditioned hallways from apartments to dining and social areas.
- Carpeting throughout.
- Individually controlled heat and air conditioning units.
- Smoke detectors and sprinkler systems.
- Emergency call systems in each bedroom and each bathroom.
- Generous closets.
Our common areas include:
- Comfortable sitting lounge/areas and activity rooms, centrally located and tastefully decorated. You're invited to use the TV, VCR, piano, organ, and game tables anytime.
- Parking spaces for your car in lighted areas. Private garages are available for a small monthly fee.
- Sitting/conversation areas in every hallway.
- Indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub.
- Hair Salon, barber, and manicure shop.
- Country store.
- Greenhouse & gardening area.
- Art studio.
- Computer room.
- Woodworking/Hobby Shop
- Library with extensive collection of books and magazines.
- Chapel and Chaplain who provide religious services, Bible studies, etc.
- Private dining area for your parties and entertaining family and friends.
- Craft room.
- Bocci court & putting green.
- Fitness room, indoor pool & spa.

- Storage areas.
We have thought of everything to ensure that Coburg Village will feel like home…and maybe even more than that.
- Q: What kind of activities do you have?

A: Everything from musical concerts to card playing to book reviews & trips to local theaters. The range is varied so we can meet the social, recreational, and interest levels of each of our residents.
- Q: Are my pets welcome?

A: Your pets are allowed. There is a pet security deposit required.
- Q: Is there access to health care?

A: We have arrangements with several health care providers in the area who visit our residents bi-monthly. A podiatrist, optician, a hearing specialist, and massage therapists offer on-site appointments. We also offer blood pressure screening clinics, flu-clinic, mammography van visits, and wellness speakers to address your health care concerns.
There are many physicians and dentists available in the local community. We are centrally located to Albany Medical Center Hospital; Albany Memorial Hospital; Samaritan Hospital; Ellis Hospital; St. Clare’s Hospital; St. Peter’s Hospital; Seton Health; Saratoga Hospital; Bellevue Hospital; and Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital.
- Q: If I have medical appointments, will transportation be offered?

A: Yes, transportation is available for medical appointments.
- Q. What if I fall and can't get up?

A: There is an emergency call system in each bedroom and each bathroom. Should you need assistance, it will bring the staff to your apartment; they will follow your orders as to seeking professional medical assistance.
- Q: How do I get to Coburg Village?

A: From New York City and points South –
Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) North to Exit 24, towards Albany/Montreal. After toll, merge onto I-87 North. Take North to Grooms
Road, exit number 8A. Turn left onto Grooms Rd. Coburg Village is located on the left just past the intersection of Vischer Ferry Rd.
- Q. Who manages Coburg Village?

A: Coburg Village is managed by The Lutheran Care Network. If you are not acquainted with TLCN, it may reassure you to know we have been helping seniors in the greater New York area for more than 125 years. Our ministry embraces innovative and compassionate healthcare and supportive housing to meet the changing needs of the communities we serve.
- Q: What are the advantages of the Coburg Village location?

A: There are many. Within the immediate vicinity of Coburg Village you will find a generous selection of churches, restaurants, golf courses, shopping and recreational facilities.
Just 15 miles north of Coburg Village is the historic city of Saratoga, which has many quaint shops, the world famous racetrack, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (Summer home to the New York City Ballet), and many fine dining establishments.
We are also located within 15 miles of New York State’s Capital City, Albany. Albany offers many attractions, including the Capital Repertory Theater, the Pepsi Arena, the Albany Symphony Orchestra, the New York State Museums, as well as the Capitol Building/Empire State Plaza complex. In addition, there are many shops, restaurants, and other amusing destinations in and around the city.
